  • The departments and systems within Youth Rising and within each community across the spectrum of our partner service providers are equally complex. We utilize the whole of our resources and the whole of the community as we develop unique solutions for each young person we serve.

Youth Serving Youth

  • Our leadership, staff and support teams are made up of survivors from backgrounds that enable us to know the challenges of the youth we serve.

  • Our personal backgrounds include shared experiences of surviving family dysfunction, abuse, neglect, control, blame and shame. We understand the factors that lead to addiction and other behavioral issues.

  • Our professional backgrounds include shared experiences of overcoming marginalization, being undervalued and being overlooked. We understand the value of being a member of a positive organization where passionate teammates strive to go beyond the status quo to do meaningful work on a daily basis.

  • Our operating philosophy puts the youth first, regarding them as our peers and approaching them in empathy and respect. We deliver support in teams whose members coordinate our efforts for maximum impact.

  • Our support delivery processes put the youth we serve in an inclusive environment where they participate in the planning, architecture and execution of their own recovery and success.

  • Our way is non-conformist, breaking from traditional top-down linear thinking and one-size-fits-all programs.

  • Our strategy is to help youth meet their essential needs, including safe and secure housing, putting them in a position to make successful transitions into adulthood.

  • Our programs enable youth to get their education, learn trade and high tech skills, earn their diplomas, certifications and college degrees and prepare young people to become productive members of society and leaders in their communities.
