YOUTH RISING
School-based Services
Community Schools are both a place and a set of partnerships between schools and other community resources. We are taking this approach a step further by bringing our YR Drop-in Model on school campuses in addition to providing evidence-based social emotional learning and life skills programs to support academic, mental, and social wellbeing.
School-based services include:
Individual intake and assessment including referrals to services as needed
Intervention groups (restorative practices) to address use of alcohol and/or other substances
Prevention Education curriculum for health & wellness classes
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs (conflict resolution, self esteem/self concept, social skills, mindfulness, etc.)
Parent/Adult/Staff Education (SEL, youth suicide, and substance use prevention education and awareness)
Health Education (brain science, emotional development, stress reduction, sleep nutrition)
Peer Support Services (gender-specific groups, GSA’s for LGBTQIA+ youth, Teen Self-Esteem, Self Injury & Self Harm Reduction, Healthy Relationships)
Assemblies on campus (monthly positive community norms campaign) #BeWell
*YR offers on-campus and virtual trainings on behalf of school districts and community-based providers
